Reading Room

What is a Christian Science Reading Room?

Our Reading Room is part bookstore, part library — all open to the public.  Anyone is welcome to come use this quiet space to pray and study with the resources we have.  The reading room houses lots of tools to supplement your study of Christian Science, such as various Bible translations, Mary Baker Eddy’s writings, biographies of Eddy, concordances, Christian Science periodicals, online access to archives and much more.  We also carry copies of the world-renowned international news magazine, The Christian Science Monitor. All of these are available for your browsing pleasure, or for purchase. The Reading Room is  always staffed by a librarian who will be happy to help you find the resources you’re looking for or to answer questions about Christian Science.  Get information about products and public events at the Reading Room on our Facebook Page.

Why do we have a Reading Room?

You may have seen Christian Science Reading Rooms in other places. That is because all Christian Science churches have them!  If you wish to visit other Reading Rooms in Montgomery County, you can find them at 232 N. Washington Street in Rockville (301-762-7049), and 4520 East-West Highway, Bethesda (301-652-5545).
